The Electrical Infrared Inspection Training Course is designed for Level 1 thermographers requiring focused training on electrical inspections. Learn how to perform an effective infrared electrical inspection, properly document the infrared inspection results and prepare reports. This four-day Infrared Electrical Inspection Course focuses on how to perform infrared electrical inspections and prepare reports on most electrical components throughout the generating station, substations, transmission and distribution, to industrial plants and commercial buildings and facilities. Electrical components considered will cover the generation system, transformers, transmission and distribution components, switchgear, bus ducts, motor control centers, electrical distribution panels and breakers. The course includes basic electrical theory; infrared theory as applied to electrical systems; operating procedures; temperature and emissivity measurement techniques; how to account for the effects of wind, load, spot size, and distance when measuring and evaluating electrical components; safety considerations; establishing maintenance priorities; and "how to" inspection techniques.
