is pleased to introduce

Equine Thermography Course!

First one of it's kind to be delivered in Canada!

This course will be held at Calgary
October 26 - 30, 2008

Infrared Thermography has proven itself for over 25 years to be an excellent equine and medical diagnostic tool.  Infrared Thermography is a non-invasive yet very effective method of detection, identification and documentation of numerous injuries and diseases.  The value of thermography has in recent years been increasingly recognized as a tool for early identification of injuries in the equine athlete.

Unlike most other methodologies, thermography is a highly sensitive, reliable and non-invasive means of graphically illustrating soft tissue injury, strains, sprains, trigger points, muscle inflammation, joint injury, stress fractures, bone chips, poor circulation, inflamed muscles and tendons etc..

This course will cover basic physics, radiosity, heat transfer as it applies to anatomy and infrared technology.  The fundamentals of instruments and analysis software will be reviewed.  This practical course will enable you to master interpretation for thermal images.  It will give you the confidence to utilize thermography for evaluating the equine athlete - confidence built by 5 days of intensive hands-on training.
